CVE-2025-55314

Code execution via stale annotation state

Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025

Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader and Editor before 13.2 or 2025.2 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF. PDF JavaScript deletes pages without fully updating annotation state, so later annotation operations dereference invalid or released memory. The user must open the crafted PDF; successful exploitation can crash the application or run code in its process context.
