Information disclosure via closeDoc object lifetime error
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader and PDF Editor for Windows before 13.2 and 2025.2 allows local users to disclose memory via a crafted PDF. Document JavaScript invokes closeDoc() while internal objects remain in use, prematurely releases them, and leaves later operations referencing freed memory. Exploitation requires the crafted document to be opened and its JavaScript to run; the documented outcome is memory corruption and information disclosure.
