Code injection in affected Electron 35 through 38 releases allows local users to execute unsigned code via a modified V8 heap snapshot. Electron loads v8_context_snapshot.bin without covering it with the ASAR integrity checks, allowing altered built-ins to run in V8 isolates. Exploitation requires both integrity fuses, write access to the application's resources, and subsequent application execution.
