Authenticated script execution via unsanitized search input
Published Aug 18, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025
Reflected XSS in MGeurts Genealogy before 4.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The Livewire People Search component accepts search input without stripping HTML before returning it to the rendered search view. An attacker needs an authenticated account and a victim who follows a crafted request, enabling session theft, data access, or interface manipulation in that victim's session.
