Local privilege escalation via untrusted pointer dereference

Untrusted pointer dereference in Microsoft's Windows MBT Transport driver allows local users to elevate privileges on affected Windows builds. The driver accepts a pointer from an untrusted source and dereferences it in kernel context without first establishing that the address is safe. A low-privileged local account and access to the driver are required; successful exploitation crosses the user-to-kernel trust boundary and grants higher privileges.
