CVE-2025-55205Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Privilege escalation via unlabeled namespace authorization bypass

Published Aug 18, 2025 · Updated Aug 18, 2025

Incorrect authorization in Project Capsule's Capsule 0.10.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to escape tenant isolation. The namespace validation webhook checks tenant ownership only when the target namespace already carries a tenant label, so unlabeled system namespaces pass the patch path without authorization. A tenant user needs namespace patch permission and a TenantResource selector; successful exploitation exposes or modifies cross-tenant and system-namespace resources.
