Repository command execution via unsafe issue-body interpolation
Published Aug 14, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025
Code injection in Juraj Nyíri Tapo: Cameras Control before commit 2a3b80f allows remote authenticated users to execute runner commands. The issues.yml workflow inserts github.event.issue.body directly into a Bash conditional, so shell syntax in a newly opened issue is evaluated as code. Any GitHub user able to open an issue can reach the workflow, but consequences are confined to the repository CI/CD environment, including access to repository contents or Actions secrets.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
