Session data theft via unescaped query parameters
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025
Reflected XSS in WeGIA before 3.4.8 allows remote attackers to run scripts in a user's browser through a crafted password-change URL. The alterar_senha.php page inserts verificacao and redir_config values directly as unquoted JavaScript expressions without validation or output encoding. No authentication is required, but a user must follow the crafted URL; successful exploitation exposes browser-accessible session data and actions.
