CVE-2025-55138Network attack vector

Account takeover via unbound password-reset token

Published Aug 7, 2025 · Updated Aug 7, 2025

Authentication bypass in Latkecrszy LinkJoin through 882f196 allows remote attackers to reset another user's password. The reset_password function accepts an email and token without verifying that the token was issued for that email, so a valid token can be applied to a different account. A remote attacker needs a valid reset token, but no existing session or user interaction, to change the target account's password and assume its identity.
