CVE-2025-55136

Local code execution via jsonpickle object decoding

Published Aug 7, 2025 · Updated Aug 7, 2025

Insecure deserialization in tae898 ERC through 0.3 allows local users to execute Python code via a crafted serialized object. The Flask app passes user-controlled JSON to jsonpickle.decode, which reconstructs attacker-selected Python objects instead of accepting plain data. Local access to submit the serialized input is required, and execution can read or modify data with the service process permissions.
