Administrator-browser script execution via unescaped filters
Published Nov 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025
Reflected XSS in Revive Adserver 6.0.0 through 6.0.1 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The banner-zone.php script writes the filterWebsite and filterZone query values into visible and hidden input elements without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to visit the attacker's URL; script runs in that browser context, but the protected session cookie remains inaccessible.
