CVE-2025-55094Network attack vector

Memory disclosure via truncated ICMPv6 option parsing

Published Oct 17, 2025 · Updated Oct 17, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo before 6.4.4 allows remote attackers to read memory via malformed ICMPv6 options. The _nx_icmpv6_validate_options() loop reads an option length field before confirming that the remaining packet buffer holds a complete option structure. A packet ending with a partial option structure is sufficient; no privileges or user interaction are required, and the published impact is limited to information disclosure.
