CVE-2025-55092Network attack vector

Memory disclosure via unchecked IPv4 timestamp option

Published Oct 17, 2025 · Updated Oct 17, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo before 6.4.4 allows remote attackers to disclose memory via crafted IPv4 options. The _nx_ipv4_option_process() loop checks only that one option-type byte remains, then reads three additional timestamp-option bytes without verifying the option boundary. Remote attackers need only reach an integrated device that processes the malformed option; the reported consequence is adjacent-memory disclosure without data modification or service interruption.
