Unauthenticated memory disclosure via short IPv4 frames
Published Oct 16, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Eclipse ThreadX NetX Duo before 6.4.4 allows remote attackers to disclose memory via a short IPv4 frame. _nx_ipv4_packet_receive reads the first four bytes through nx_ip_header_word_0 without confirming that the packet buffer contains them. An unauthenticated network sender must deliver an Ethernet frame carrying fewer than four bytes of IP data; the read exposes adjacent memory without a reported integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
