Script execution via dragged JavaScript URL
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Mozilla Focus for iOS before 142 allows remote attackers to run script by inducing a JavaScript-link drag to the URL bar. The URL-bar drop path accepts a dragged javascript: link as executable navigation rather than rejecting the active-content scheme; Mozilla has not disclosed the responsible function. Exploitation requires a user to drag the malicious link into the URL bar, and successful script execution can expose or alter content in the resulting web context.
