Cross-site scripting via inline attachment rendering
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Mozilla Focus for iOS before 142 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted attachment response. The response handler ignores a Content-Disposition attachment directive for some MIME types and renders the body inline instead of forcing a download. Exploitation requires user interaction, after which script runs in the displayed page context and can read or modify data within that context.
