Browser denial of service via popup blocker bypass
Published Aug 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Mozilla Firefox for iOS before 142 allows remote attackers to interrupt browser use via malicious scripts. The popup-blocking path fails to stop attacker-controlled JavaScript from repeatedly creating new tabs; Mozilla has not disclosed the underlying code defect. Loading script-bearing web content is sufficient; sustained tab creation consumes client resources and can make the browser unusable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
