Session hijacking via serialized authentication artifacts
Published Aug 9, 2025 · Updated Aug 11, 2025
Information exposure in WorkOS AuthKit Remix before 0.15.0 allows remote authenticated users to obtain session and access tokens. authkitLoader includes sealedSession and accessToken in its return object, which Remix serializes into server-rendered HTML. Reading the artifacts requires access to an authenticated page's DOM through script execution, a browser extension, or local inspection, and enables session hijacking or unauthorized API access.
