CVE-2025-54992Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via SAML metadata XXE

Published Aug 11, 2025 · Updated Aug 12, 2025

XXE in OpenKilda before 1.164.0 allows remote attackers to read files from the UI host through crafted SAML metadata. SamlValidator.validateEntityId parses uploaded or URL-fetched metadata with DocumentBuilderFactory without disabling DOCTYPE declarations or external entities. The unauthenticated path requires chaining the flaw with the separately identified blind SSRF issue, and the reported consequence is disclosure of files accessible to the UI process.
