CVE-2025-54955Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via shared authentication response race

Published Aug 2, 2025 · Updated Aug 4, 2025

OpenNebula FireEdge CE before 7.0.0 and EE before 6.10.3 allows remote attackers to steal a legitimate user's JWT in a login race. FireEdge stored the HTTP response in shared authentication state before asynchronous login callbacks completed, so a concurrent failed login could receive a legitimate user's success response and token. Exploitation requires racing repeated unauthenticated login attempts against a legitimate login, after which the captured token grants the victim's account access.
