CVE-2025-5491Network attack vector

SYSTEM code execution via misconfigured named pipe

Published Jun 13, 2025 · Updated Jun 13, 2025

Remote code execution in Acer Control Center 4.00.3000 through 4.00.3056 allows remote authenticated users to run arbitrary code as SYSTEM. ACCSvc.exe exposes a custom named-pipe function that accepts executable invocation requests without restricting access to sufficiently privileged callers. Network access to the named pipe and low privileges are sufficient to execute programs with the service's NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM rights.
