Registration password disclosure via inherited file ACL
Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Information disclosure in Wazuh Agent for Windows 4.3.0 and later, before 4.13.0, allows local users to read the registration password. The MSI installer's SetWazuhPermissions function grants Authenticated Users access to the installation directory but omits authd.pass from the files whose inherited ACL is removed. The file exists when password-protected agent registration is configured, and any local Authenticated Users member can recover the stored credential.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
