Administrator account takeover via unbound reset key
Published Jun 4, 2025 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Unverified password change in Sunshine Photo Cart 3.4.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to take over administrator accounts. The password-reset handler in includes/functions/account.php accepts a supplied reset key without binding it to the targeted username before updating that account's password. Subscriber-level access and knowledge of an administrator's login name are sufficient to replace that administrator's password and enter the account.
