Web interface denial of service via uncaught exception
Published Aug 29, 2025 · Updated Aug 29, 2025
An uncaught exception in Konica Minolta bizhub firmware allows remote attackers to stop Web Connection via a malformed S/MIME certificate. The S/MIME Email Destination certificate-import path processes malformed certificate data without catching the resulting exception, leaving Web Connection completely unresponsive. Attackers need adjacent-network access and the ability to register or change an email destination; other multifunction-printer functions remain available.
