Authenticated file disclosure via TMUI path traversal
Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Path traversal in F5 BIG-IP TMUI allows remote authenticated users to read files outside the intended directory through file import. F5 identifies the affected locus as the TMUI file import handler but has not disclosed the request field or validation failure that permits traversal. Exploitation requires a highly privileged account with network access to the management interface, and the published impact is file confidentiality only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=15.1.0 <15.1.10.8
- Affected versionversion=16.1.0 <16.1.6.1
- Affected versionversion=17.1.0 <17.1.3
- Affected versionversion=17.5.0 <17.5.1.3
