Account takeover via unchecked social-login fallback
Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Authentication bypass in NooTheme Jobmonster 4.7.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to impersonate any user via a public AJAX action. The check_login handler accepts an unsupported social-provider value, uses the attacker-supplied id as an email, and sets an authentication cookie for the matched account. No credentials or user interaction are required; knowing an administrator email yields an authenticated administrator session and control of the site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=4.7.9 changes=[{"at":"4.8.0","status":"unaffected"}]
