Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped stored input
Published Aug 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in CreativeMinds CM Search And Replace 1.5.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into pages. The plugin stores administrator-supplied content without sufficient input sanitization and emits it into generated pages without output escaping; public records do not identify the affected field or function. Administrator access and a later page view are required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites with unfiltered_html disabled.
