CVE-2025-54644

Local information disclosure via unchecked ambient-light index

Published Aug 6, 2025 · Updated Aug 6, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Huawei HarmonyOS 3.0.0, 3.1.0, 4.0.0 and EMUI 13.0.0 and 14.0.0 allows local users to read service data. The kernel ambient light module insufficiently validates data used to select an array element, causing an access beyond the array boundary. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and no user interaction; Huawei reports a confidentiality effect, while its CVSS assessment also records integrity and availability impacts.
