Unauthenticated feed and tag disclosure via missing checks
Published Sep 29, 2025 · Updated Sep 29, 2025
Improper access control in FreshRSS before 1.27.0 allows remote attackers to read the default administrator's feed and tag metadata. The tagController updateAction and javascriptController actualizeAction and nbUnreadsPerFeedAction omit both firstAction enforcement and manual FreshRSS_Auth::hasAccess() checks. Unauthenticated HTTP access is sufficient; disclosed data includes feed names and IDs, tag names and filters, and unread counts, but not tag modification.
