Arbitrary command execution via auto-approved ripgrep flags

Improper command approval in OpenAI Codex CLI before 0.9.0 allows context-dependent attackers to execute commands via crafted ripgrep flags. The isSafeCommand and is_safe_to_call_with_exec allowlists classify every rg invocation as trusted without rejecting --pre, --hostname-bin, or archive-search options; --pre executes an arbitrary command for each matching file. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-influenced input, after which commands run without approval and can read or modify data available to the Codex process.
