CVE-2025-54549

Tampered upgrade installation via crafted ISO file

Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025

Improper signature verification in Arista Networks DANZ Monitoring Fabric allows local users to supply tampered upgrade images. The upgrade-image validator accepts a specifically crafted file inserted into an ISO without detecting that the signed image contents have been altered. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access and an operator who attempts to install the tampered image, enabling unauthorized software modification.
