Local privilege escalation via incorrect directory permissions
Published Jul 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Incorrect directory permissions in JetBrains TeamCity before 2025.07 allow local users to escalate privileges on the host. JetBrains has disclosed only that TeamCity sets directory permissions incorrectly and has not identified the affected directory or unsafe access granted. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and a high-complexity condition, permitting high-impact reading and modification without reported service interruption.
