Local privilege escalation via DLL search-path hijacking
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
Uncontrolled DLL search paths in AMD Documentation Navigator 2024.2 allow local users to execute code with elevated privileges. The Windows installation searches for DLLs through an uncontrolled location that lower-privileged users can influence, allowing a planted DLL to load. Exploitation requires low local privileges and user interaction; successful loading runs attacker-controlled code at the elevated process level.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
