Improper shared-resource isolation in affected AMD EPYC and Ryzen processors allows local users with high privileges to alter system state. AMD has not disclosed which on-chip resource lacks isolation or what operation permits an untrusted agent to modify it. Exploitation requires local high-privilege access and causes partial integrity loss, with no reported confidentiality or availability impact.
