Authenticated code execution via unchecked archive extraction
Published Aug 15, 2025 · Updated Aug 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Phoca Commander 1.0.0 through 4.0.0 and 5.0.0 through 5.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The administrator-only unzip feature extracts archive contents without a control that blocks dangerous executable files from being written to the Joomla server. Exploitation requires high-privilege backend access and access to the unzip feature; extracted PHP scripts run with the web server's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
