CVE-2025-54463Network attack vector

Unauthenticated plugin crash via malformed webhook bodies

Published Aug 11, 2025 · Updated Aug 11, 2025

Improper exception handling in Mattermost Confluence Plugin before 1.5.0 allows remote attackers to crash it through the server webhook. The webhook handler fails to reject an unexpected request body safely, and sustained malformed requests terminate the plugin. No authentication or user interaction is required, but repeated requests are necessary; the reported impact is a plugin crash, not host compromise.
