Authenticated command execution via unchecked form parameters
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
OS command injection in six Linksys range-extender firmware releases allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. RP_checkFWByBBS in mod_form.so passes the type, ch, ssidhex, security, extch, pwd, mode, ip, nm, and gw form values into an OS command without validating their contents. A valid management session is required; injected shell metacharacters can start a root shell service and compromise the appliance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
