Authenticated command execution via unsanitized form parameters
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
OS command injection in Linksys RE6250, RE6300, RE6350, RE6500, RE7000, and RE9000 allows authenticated command execution. The RP_UpgradeFWByBBS handler in mod_form.so passes the type, ch, ssidhex, security, extch, pwd, mode, ip, nm, and gw form values into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. A valid web session is required by the demonstrated request, and successful injection provides a shell with the extender's command-execution privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
