Database read-write access via committed credentials
Published Jul 28, 2025 · Updated Jul 28, 2025
Credential exposure in RevelaCode-Backend before 1.0.1 allows remote attackers to access MongoDB databases via a public .env file. Affected revisions track a MONGO_URI value that embeds a valid Atlas username and password instead of excluding the secret from version control. No application account or interaction is required; possession of the URI permits database reads, modification, or deletion within the database user's rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
