CVE-2025-54381Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated SSRF via automatic URL file downloads

Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Jul 30, 2025

SSRF in BentoML 1.4.0 through 1.4.18 allows remote attackers to make arbitrary HTTP requests through file-upload endpoints. MultipartSerde.ensure_file fetches any submitted URL without validation, while JSONSerde.parse_request checks only for an HTTP scheme before fetching. Any unauthenticated request reaching an endpoint with a pathlib.Path or PIL.Image.Image parameter can access internal services, localhost, or cloud metadata.
