Authenticated OS command execution via WPS PIN
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
Command injection in Linksys RE6250, RE6300, RE6350, RE6500, RE7000, and RE9000 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The WPS handler in mod_form.so passes the attacker-controlled PIN value from /goform/WPS into a shell command without neutralizing command substitutions or metacharacters. Access to a management session is required; successful exploitation can start a privileged shell and fully control the extender.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
