Unauthenticated log disclosure via unguarded WebSocket route
Published Sep 10, 2025 · Updated Sep 10, 2025
Authentication bypass in SpectoLabs Hoverfly before 1.12.0 allows remote attackers to stream application logs without credentials. The LogsHandler.RegisterRoutes method mounts /api/v2/ws/logs without RequireTokenAuthentication, unlike protected admin routes. Exposure requires network access to the admin interface with authentication enabled and reveals logged request bodies, tokens, and file paths.
