Code execution via malicious document use-after-free
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Use-after-free in Adobe InDesign Desktop 20.4, 19.5.4 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious document. Adobe has not identified the affected document parser or disclosed which object is freed and later reused while processing untrusted file data. Exploitation requires the current user to open the file, and resulting code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
