Code execution via malicious-file use-after-free
Published Aug 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Use after free in Adobe InDesign 20.4 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file opened by a victim. The 19.x track is affected through 19.5.4, but Adobe has not disclosed the parser, object-lifetime error, or freed-memory operation that processes the file. A victim must open the crafted file; successful exploitation runs arbitrary code in the current user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
