Account enumeration via divergent API status codes
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025
User enumeration in HAXiam 11.0.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to identify valid accounts via the getUserData API. The /system/api/getUserData endpoint returns HTTP 200 when the supplied username exists and HTTP 404 when it does not, exposing account validity. Access requires a valid JWT, and successful exploitation discloses usernames only; site defacement depends on chaining a separate authorization flaw.
