Unauthenticated site control via disabled JWT checks
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 22, 2025
Authentication bypass in HAXcms NodeJS 11.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to access, modify, and delete all site information. The shipped start configuration sets HAXCMS_DISABLE_JWT_CHECKS, causing the server to skip authorization and session-authentication checks. Exploitation requires a network-reachable NodeJS deployment that retains the local-development default rather than enabling JWT checks.
