CVE-2025-54125Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Sensitive-field disclosure via name-based XML redaction

Published Aug 5, 2025 · Updated Aug 6, 2025

Information disclosure in XWiki Platform allows remote attackers with page view rights to read sensitive properties through XML export. Document.getXMLContent() serializes object properties, then redacts only elements literally named email or password instead of excluding Email or Password field types. Any guest or account able to view a page can request ?xpage=xml; exposed values include validation or reset tokens and custom plaintext secrets, but not standard password or email fields.
