Stored XSS via unescaped resource tags
Published Jun 1, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
Stored XSS in Mist.io Mist Cloud Management Platform Community Edition 4.7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript. The tag_resources function stores tag keys and values without HTML escaping, so crafted markup executes when an authenticated user views an affected resource listing. Exploitation requires permission to add a tag and a separate authenticated viewer, exposing browser-session data or actions within that viewer's privileges.
