Authenticated OS command execution via unsanitized shell input
Published Sep 9, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025
OS command injection in Calix GigaCenter ONT 844E, 844G, 844GE, and 854GE allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The Quantenna SoC web interface's /var/www/tools_command.php passes user-controlled command input directly to PHP shell_exec without sanitization. Exploitation requires 'super' credentials and access to the link-local web interface, and successful commands can fully compromise the device.
