CVE-2025-54082Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file upload via unprotected endpoint

Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 21, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in Marshmallow Packages Nova Tiptap before 5.7.0 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files via HTTP. The /nova-tiptap/api/file endpoint omits Nova authentication middleware, accepts files without type restrictions, and trusts a caller-selected disk. A valid CSRF token is required; execution depends on a web-accessible disk that executes uploaded content, while other setups permit malicious-file storage or distribution.
